I love pulling colors of a room together and creating the overall feel of a room in a painting. I mostly create modern art and paint large flowers.
This was a 12" x 12" painting of a flower for a local silent auction. Care to guess what kind of flower this is? Good luck with that because it doesn't exist.
Here's a close-up of the texture...

6' x 3' art sign
This is a large piece, made of plywood and aluminum flashing.
The SH has silver leaf, antiqued, and the aluminum letters are also antiqued. It is in the lobby area of Stong Holsten Wealth Group, LLC.

12" x 12" poinsettia painting
This poinsettia painting was for the 2009 EMAR silent auction.

40" x 30" abstract painting
The shapes mimic his windows (see pic below) with squares along the top. The 2 circles represent Keith and his daughter and there is a subtle cross within the design.

dandelion art over piano
I made this almost entirely out of things I had around the house.
I took apart capiz shell wind chimes, painted the backs white, glued them to the dowel rods and glued them to a round piece of wood. Then I glued another piece of wood (painted the wall color) on top, sandwiching the sticks. I glued an embroidery hoop on the back and green foam balls on the front. I took apart a black bamboo place mat and re-wired it to make the curvy stem.

48" x 36" lily painting

20" diameter copper penny
I made this huge penny for a "pub" inside a house. It's hanging infront of thousands of pennies.

12" x 12" poppy painting

12" x 12" abstract painting

12" x 24" painting

I painted the pattern on this bathroom floor, then the flowers on top. There is texture to the background, making the "tile" areas a little taller than the "grout" areas.
This is a photo of the bathroom floor tile pattern.

48" x 24"
I was going to paint over these simple flowers, but Lexy liked it because there's a Daddy flower, Mommy flower and a Lexy flower. So we embellished it with fabric, glass beads, foam balls, black bamboo pieces and copper pipe ends.
